Introduction[]
Feat in Question: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/694641450637328486/694642432763232281/image0.jpg
Basically, i will be calculating the speed of Shikoutazer's beam.
Note: That feat happened in the anime and the manga, so it should be canon.
Calculation[]
1st, we go to make the measurements.
I will use the wall height that is accepted by VSBW.
Wall = 10 px = 9970 meters.
Pixel Scaling = 9970/10 = 997 m/px.
Distance between the Imperial walls and the position of the crater = Additional distance that the beam crossed = 357 px = 355929 meters.
Distance between Shikoutazer and the Imperial Capital walls = 252313.252 meters.
Total distance the beam covered = 355929 + 252313.252 = 608242.252 meters.
Good. Now for the timeframe.
Low-End[]
In the anime, the beam reached the crater in 3 frame, and anime FPS are 24.
Timeframe = 3/24 = 0.125 seconds.
Speed = 608242.252/0.125 = 4865938.016 m/s = 1.623% the speed of light (Sub-Relativistic).
High-End[]
However, according to the 1st scan from above in the Introduction section, the beam traveled to the same distance, but in 1 frame.
So i will be using the same timeframe calculation method as this speed calculation:
The beam traveled in 1 frame, and i will be using the Normal FPS, which are 60, since the 1s that were shot by the beam were aware that the beam was fired.
Timeframe = 1/60 = 0.016 seconds.
Speed = 608242.252/0.016 = 38015140.75 m/s = 12.7% the speed of light (Relativistic).
And due to the fact that both ends happened in both the anime and manga respectively, i think that rating should be Sub-Relativistic, likely Relativistic.
Final Conclusion[]
Akame ga Kill - Shikoutazer's Beam Speed (Low-End) = 4865938.016 m/s = 1.623% the speed of light (Sub-Relativistic).
Akame ga Kill - Shikoutazer's Beam Speed (High-End) = 12.7% the speed of light (Relativistic).
