The purpose of this document is to gather every detail about LittleBigPlanet’s cosmology, feats, and mechanics. Before starting, it’s worth mentioning that everything in LittleBigPlanet is canon according to the official Twitter account and by everything, I mean the entire levels made by every user (Including the ones where some of the games’ online are gone excluding the main 3 games) and all the trailers. Even the narrator, Creator Curators and characters have acknowledged the LBP Community and even the over-usage of bomb survivals in the community.
Cosmology and Terminology[]

Also known as the Craftverse and the Craftcosm. It is a very wide omniversal pool of creative energy - ranging from the atomic to the galactic - that is stated to never die, all while it keeps on expanding in size from every single human and animal’s creative minds and dreams through not only the planet Earth but the omniverse too, regardless if they’re conscious or not. The creative energies are collected through cerebrumbilical cords, which are invisible conduits connected to every creature’s brain reaching to the Imagisphere. It is the very force that holds and binds the entire LittleBigPlanet world and all its planets, moons, satellites and its infinite space.
It is what gives every Sackperson life and can bring them back to life once they die while also being interconnected to all of them. It should be noted, when a Knitted Knight dies for good (Likely the creature they’re based on dying), they ascend to the Imagisphere and look over everyone. There are also the Dreamer Orbs, packed with the creative energy of pure and wonder straight from the Imagisphere with the power to dispel nightmarish energy like the Uproar. And finally, within any wormholes, is the Non-Imagisphere, a dimension made up of anti-imagination and holds any Sackperson in stasis.

The planets of the entire Imagisphere, Craftworld - sometimes referred to as Earth or LittleBigPlanet (Though the latter is interchangeable with the Imagisphere). It’s an ethereal abstract plane or a “dreamverse” that houses every dream and creative energy from a single mind of a creature, even yourself included. According to Scarlet, a Knitted Knight of the Imagisphere, there are countless Craftworlds (Possibly infinite because of being powered by the people’s minds in the omniverse) and they each all are tended by the Tree of Imagination (With its roots going all over and feeding a single Craftworld with life and creative energy and located within the centre of a Craftworld) and the Creator Curators with their creations by using the Dreamtime, a conduit so ideas of certain worlds can reach the Imagisphere.
Within a Craftworld comes the Wonderplane, - making its full appearance in Sackboy: A Big Adventure and sometimes referred levels this name - it is stated to be infinite in size and it’s even supported by Scarlet stating there’s still so much to look at in Craftworld despite exploring through all of her life to find something new yet she barely searched everything.
Worth mentioning that the PSP Craftworld/Earth is different compare to the one you see in every LBP title and The Land Down Under is a spiritual realm that predates linear time that is tended and created by the keeper of the very first idea of LittleBigPlanet. There are other planets, such as Bunkum, which was actually birthed by Craftworld itself due to having so much creativity. Carnivalia, a controllable planet that spreads joy and laughter throughout the Imagisphere but extracts the sources when it was piloted by the Hollows. And the Interstellar Junction, Craftworld’s premier intergalactic planet-sized port and civilization that can take passengers to the previous mentioned planets and Mars.

The Pod is a Sackperson’s “home” where he relaxes and chills, though it is mostly used as a gateway to other Craftworlds/Earths. Whenever he loses all his lives for a checkpoint, he returns back to it, and killing himself within it still takes him back to the area. The Pod’s computer changes its appearance from a PS3 controller, to the PS Vita, or the PS4 controller. The PS Vita version has a special window called the Control Window, which gives a Sackperson his own time and space elevator that acts the same as other Pods computers.

The opposite of the Dreamer Orbs and the Imagisphere (Besides the Non-Imagisphere), it is a dark, foul energy made of nightmares, it’s what Vex was born from and what he uses it to corrupt everything he touches, create life made of this energy and even making people becoming more aggressive, driving them mad and harming others. (Randomly harming anyone makes them question if the Uproar has made Sackboy act this way) He uses it to make barriers to block a Sackperson’s path, but enough Dreamer Orbs can dispel the Uproar’s barrier. Oddly enough, upon its wielder’s defeat, Vex has stated that it won’t be destroyed so long the Imagisphere continues existing.

People in the world are very aware that LittleBigPlanet is all about creating, sharing and having fun. In this section, I would like to explain how every Sackperson using their creative powers should all be applicable and standard. Firstly, Creators Curators themselves are capable of creating themselves which is what maintains Craftworld and has explained these abilities can access when a Sackperson’s Popit becomes literally charged with astounding creative power, which everything - including the Sackpeople - is made of. LittleBigPlanet and the Imagisphere’s ethos have been explained multiple times as to create and share. Even the co-lead designer of the original LittleBigPlanet wants people to treat both the Play and Create aspects the same.

Checkpoints are ring-shaped doors that allow a Sackperson to easily enter a level and are everywhere in the entire Imagisphere. When a Sackperson dies, they are then swiftly reincarnated into the nearest checkpoint they already activated. These checkpoints vary with lives from four to eight and finally infinite lives. In Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Vex and N.A.O.M.I. are completely aware of the checkpoints being capable of bringing back any Sackperson to life.

Now with the cosmology and terminology all done, we go into the feats.
Feats[]
After you defeat Metal Gear REX, you make it to the end and come across a machine capable of mass-producing levels for Liquid so he can be the most hearted creator in the entire LittleBigPlanet community. Sackboy destroys it with the Paintinator, though it’s unknown if the machine’s durability scales to the creation. In the Marvel Level Kit, some of the Marvel villains plan on destroying every single My Moons in the LittleBigPlanet community via a satellite laser. At the start of the Level Kit, they test the laser to see if it works by destroying Aunt May’s Moon along with her levels. The final level has Sackboy take the rocket’s batteries that has the moon-destroying laser in it. Sackboy stops the laser, but again, I’m hesitant to have him scale to the power unless you want to bring up the explosion and say he survived it
Unlike the first instalment, this - and the others - relies on the main story instead of the DLCs for the feats. The Negativitron (Originally called 1800 watt Vaccum Cleaner or the Sucker) is an ancient negative force of evil and is considered to be unstoppable. He is a great threat to the entirety of Craftworld that will lay waste to it if it keeps sucking up all its creative energy and is capable of destroying the Cosmos. Also, not relevant in terms of feats, but due to being embodying every negative aspect within everyone’s personality, the Negativitron claims that if he was destroyed, the same would happen to the Alliance.

Sackboy goes to a planet called Carnivalia, it is capable of stealing the joy from Craftworld and the Imagisphere due to the Hollows and their creator, The Puppeteer. With the Puppeteer slowly stealing joy, Craftworld slowly crumbles. After defeating the “Puppeteer”, Sackboy meets Franklin Wadsworth Emerson, the real Puppeteer. Once Sackboy and the Puppeteer are reunited with the puppets he threw away, Franklin’s laughter and joy bring the Hollows back to their original form, also making them laugh in joy and stop Craftworld’s destruction. Unsure if this feat is scalable since it’s said it was Carnivalia doing it and not really the Hollows, but it is consistent with the other feats.
The Hoard are a bunch of scavengers that collect prizes and material but keep them for themselves and not used them since the dawn of the Imagisphere, hence their names. The LBP narrator stated that the Hoard can pluck the sun and a rainbow’s colours, and Venus the Fly Trap said that they will deplete the Imagisphere if Sackboy didn’t interfere - which is even supported by the Queen saying “Have fun saving the Imagisphere!” - and stole all the energy from Eve’s Asylum, which are one of the sources for Craftworld. The Hoard fears the Trash Monster, which Sackboy defeats by himself. The Trash Monster self-destructs and destroys its planet that sends him all the way back to Craftworld. One more feat to point out, but the Fast Forward Weaponator boosts Sackboy’s kart through space and time, should only apply to reactions and combat since he can still perfectly drive with it normally
Long before the Negativitron was a threat against Sackboy and the Alliances, three gluttonous monsters absorbed Bunkum’s creativity known as the Titans. Oddsock, Toggle and Swoop defeated them and imprisoned the Titans in a tin as the heroes retired long enough to be a myth. After being released by Newton, the Titans possess Newton and continue their plans on destroying Bunkum by absorbing its creative energy while also trying to be the Imagisphere’s greatest creator. He then creates a fortress that keeps Bunkum’s Creative Heart and traps all creative thoughts under Newton’s control. After the last Titan quits possessing Newton and it gets defeated by Sackboy and co., setting the heart free from its imprisonment.
And finally, last but not least, the recent instalment of the LittleBigPlanet series, Sackboy: A Big Adventure. The main villain is Vex, the bringer of nightmares and chaos, and master of the Uproar. He was born of nightmares, fear, dread, chaos and all that stuff. His motivation is to create the Topsy Turver so he can use it to replace the Tree of Imagination to spread the Uproar across Craftworld. One of the main power sources he uses for his Topsy Turver is draining the stars of their power to fuel it.
After Vex successfully got all the power sources for his Topsy Turver, he corrupts Craftworld in an instant, even the Imagisphere was affected by the dark aura of the Uproar produced by the machine, this is even supported by Scarlet by mentioning it was restored after Vex’s defeat. Whenever he’s in the Topsy Turver - which is filled with so much Uproar energy - he becomes everywhere and will watch his enemy’s every move and the Topsy Turver replacing the Tree of Imagination would have made him omnipresence in Craftworld and even the Imagisphere.
Feats[]
TL;DR on Cosmology and Terminology[]
- The Imagisphere is an abstract multiverse that continues to expand at an exponential rate powered by people’s imagination from a multiverse. (Multiversal+)
- There are countless (Potentially infinite) Craftworlds in the Imagisphere, which are abstract planes housing the respective person they embody, two said abstract planes for each respective creature and are possibly infinite in size.
- Pods are gateways to all Craftworlds and a Sackperson’s home whenever they run out of lives in a level.
- Sackpeople can come back regardless if there’s a checkpoint or not as the only way to truly kill them is to destroy both the Imagisphere and the Uproar at the same time or kill the creature based on the Sackperson, and every Sackperson should gain the ability to create with enough creative power in their Popits.
TL;DR for the feats:[]
- Metal Gear Solid Pack has Liquid Ocelot create a machine capable of mass-producing identical levels in his Craftworld just so he can be the most hearted in the LittleBigPlanet community and in the Marvel Level Kit has some of the Marvel villains using a satellite laser to destroy every single My Moons in the Imagisphere.
- Negativitron is capable of destroying Craftworld, though it’s most likely over time, and is capable of destroying the Cosmos, likely referring to the Imagisphere.
- Planet Carnivalia can suck up the joy of not only Craftworld, but the Imagisphere too, breaking it apart.
- The Hoard are strong enough to pluck the sun and would’ve depleted the entire Imagisphere had Sackboy never interfered.
- The Titans are capable of sucking Bunkum’s creativity to the point of its destruction regardless of possessing Newton or not.
- Vex’s Topsy Turver not only corrupted Craftworld with the Uproar, but the entire Imagisphere too, defeating Vex destroyed the entire machine and brought back the Imagisphere to its former glory.
