"Only one who can surpass Falcon, can become Falcon." ― Captain Falcon (Andy Summer)

Captain Falcon is the main protagonist of the F-Zero franchise, living a double life as a bounty hunter and a champion of the F-Zero racing circuit.

Background[]

Several years ago, Captain Falcon was merely Andy Summer, a policeman fighting against the criminal Zoda alongside his sister Jody. However, he was caught up in a rocket explosion and presumed dead. In his absence, he trained to become the legendary Captain Falcon, and began winning streaks of races alongside his F-Zero machine, the Blue Falcon. Eventually, he realized the criminal Black Shadow was planning to ruin the universe, and thus persuaded the Mobile Task Force to revive Ryu Suzaku, a policeman and racer from 2054, and trained Ryu to become his successor. Ultimately, Falcon passed on after finally defeating Black Shadow once and for all, leaving the title of Falcon to Ryu.

Stats []

Attack Potency: Unknown physically (Demonstrates no notable feats of strength), possibly far higher with both Champion's Belts (Deathborn stated that with the energies in both belts combined, he could reduce the galaxy to ash in an instant, and Falcon possesses both belts. However, the Creators stated that there were no universal forces of light and dark in the belts.) | At least Large Town Level+, possibly Planet Level physically (Overpowered Black Shadow with his Falcon Punch, who contained the energy of a Reactor Might that blew up his space station with his bare hands. Reactor Mights are stated to have enough power alone to destroy planets), Multi-Galaxy to Universe Level with the Blue Falcon (Contains a fully nurtured Reactor Might as its power source. Was equal to the Dark Matter Reactor that contained 3 Reactor Mights and was slowly shrinking the universe.) | Universe Level (Comparable to the rest of the cast, who are capable of fighting Galeem and Dharkon)

Speed: Supersonic+ reactions, Supersonic+ with the Blue Falcon | Subsonic movement speed (Moved faster than the eye can track to eliminate three robots), with Hypersonic+ (Comparable to Ryu Suzaku, who can react to meteors. ), possibly Massively Faster Than Light+ reactions (Capable of controlling his F-Zero machine when it uses Boost Fire). Supersonic+ with the Blue Falcon (F-Zero machines can move at least 4000 km/hr at maximum normal speed), at least Hypersonic+, possibly Massively Faster than Light+ with Boost Fire (Moves significantly faster than the Blue Falcon's normal speed. Should be comparable to ships like the Galaxy Runner and Falcon Flier that are capable of interstellar travel). | Massively Faster than Light+ (Comparable to characters who can react to Galeem's light rays)

Durability: Unknown | At least Large Town Level+, possibly Planet Level physically (Traded blows with Blood Falcon, a clone of himself). Multi-Galaxy to Universe Level with the Blue Falcon (Clashed with the Black Bull, which possesses the same amount of Reactor Mights as the Dragon Bird EX) | Universe Level

Hax: Dimensional Travel (Boost Fire can produce enough energy to create portals, although Falcon has only ever used this to escape from the Dark Space Black Shadow sent him to), Gravity Manipulation (All F-Zero machines contain a gravity drive that enables them to hover above the ground), Resistance to Gravity Manipulation (Only F-Zero machines can survive in the Warp Gate, which normally crushes anything that enters with gravitational force), Mind Manipulation (Ryu's Reactor Might was able to somewhat counter Black Shadow's brainwashing of Haruka), Illusion Creation (Cast an illusion around the Blue Falcon so it appeared to be a different machine), and possibly much more (Reactor Mights have many abilities Falcon has not shown himself using).

Intelligence: High (Is knowledgeable about many mechanics of F-Zero racing, instantly figured out how to stop the Dark Matter Reactor, successfully hid his identity as Captain Falcon for many years, faked his own death and fooled almost everyone into thinking he was the bounty hunter Berserker)

Stamina: High (Was shot in the shoulder by Haruka and was only slightly fatigued several hours afterwards.)

Powers, Techniques, and Equipment[]

Powers[]

  • Enhanced Senses: Falcon saw a sniper from miles away on a mountaintop.
  • Electricity Manipulation: Falcon Punch generated heavy amounts of electricity.

Techniques []

  • Boost: Machine boosts forward at high speed, although it costs some of the machine's vitality to do so.
  • Sandwich Burst: With two other F-Zero machines, Falcon can boost so that one machine passes through the gap made by two others, achieving far higher speed than with a standard boost.
  • Boost Fire: By turning off the safety features of the Blue Falcon, Falcon can activate a hyper boost that causes his machine to spin around, instantly knocking aside any weaker machines it hits and going at far higher speeds than any normal F-Zero machine can achieve.
  • Falcon Punch: Falcon's most iconic attack, where he charges up a slow, yet incredibly powerful punch, before releasing it.
  • Falcon Kick: Falcon kicks forward covered in flames if on the ground, or straight downward if in the air.
  • Raptor Boost: Falcon surges forward to perform a fiery uppercut on an enemy.
  • Falcon Dive: Falcon surges upward, blasting any foes in the direction he's facing if he manages to grab them.
  • Falcon Knee: Falcon coats his knee in electricity. before slamming it into the enemy.

Equipment []

  • Blue Falcon: Falcon's iconic racing machine. It is equipped with a fully nurtured Reactor Might, giving it incredible power.
  • Falcon Flier: A jet Falcon uses for interstellar travel, equipped with a tractor beam.
  • Gun: A gun Falcon contains in his holster, which he rarely uses.
  • Dynamite: On one occasion, Falcon used dynamite to blow up a weather controlling machine.

Minor Feats []

Attack Potency/Strength[]

  • Blue Falcon tore through the side of a metal blimp.
  • Easily destroyed several of Don Genie's robot guards.
  • Superior to Ryu Suzaku, who kicked down a metal door and can easily defeat common street gangs.
  • Superior to Samurai Goroh, who cut through a train.
  • Superior to Hyper Zoda, who was amped by a Reactor Might and several Blood Falcons.

Speed/Reactions[]

  • Falcon Flier is presumably comparable to spaceships like the Galaxy Runner, which can cross interstellar distances.
  • Superior to Ryu Suzaku, who dodged a bullet from Pico at close range.

Durability/Endurance[]

  • Took a shot to the shoulder without much damage.
  • Falcon Flier potentially survived the destruction of a massive planetoid.
  • Before he became Captain Falcon, Andy survived a massive RPG explosion.
  • Took several hits from Blood Falcon.

Skill/Intelligence[]

  • Capable of driving backwards easily.
  • Has won many F-Zero racing championships.

Powerscaling []

Physically, Falcon is one of the strongest characters in the anime, being the only one who can fight on par with Black Shadow, and is easily superior to non-nurtured Reactor Mights. However, due to the fact that Reactor Mights evolve in power as they are nurtured, Falcon cannot scale to the Reactor Mights' full power. However, his Blue Falcon, while being overall weaker than the likes of the Black Bull and Dragon Bird EX due to having less Reactor Mights, is still able to hold its own against them. In Super Smash Bros., Falcon is shown being able to defeat Galeem, Dharkon, and the other fighters.

Weaknesses[]

  • Boost Fire requires the safeties on the Blue Falcon to be turned off, which may cause accidents if Falcon is not careful.
